The moves are learned in the following sequence:
- Parting the wild horse's mane
- Brush knee and push hands
- Grasping the bird's tail
- Kick with heel
- Golden rooster stands on one leg
- Strike ears with both fists
- Flash the arm

The beginner class teaches and emphasizes the basic concepts and techniques of Tai-Ji Quan.
The first seven (7) moves will be taught in a "Standing Form" to help the student
find their own balance, enhance their flexibility and improve their strenght and muscle tone.
